We live in the wider city centre of Tábor, Czech Republic.

Our flowerbeds and greenhouse are part of an outdoor area shared by the occupants of our house. I have always seen gardening as a way of connecting with nature, but in an urban environment it is also a way to foster social relationships.

I try to introduce gardening to our children, to give them a sense of where food comes from and how precious it is. Since 2015, I have been experimenting with the no dig method, inspired by Charles’ wonderful Vegetable Garden Diary. I explore how to make the most of our limited space (and time).
