Come and spend a day with Charles and Fred in the Monkton Market Garden. The garden is completely no dig and Charles will talk you through the principles of no dig and why it is such a good option for home growers. The garden produces vegetables for restaurant L'escargot bleu, it is Fred's mission to be self sufficient and he also has a love of compost which also will be covered in the day. As a group we'll make a new bed on weedy land all ready for the spring. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Address is Monkton Garden, Old Craighall Road, EH21 8SF, Musselburgh.
Best to arrive from the Edinburgh by pass or A1 as the road is blocked from the Sheriff hall roundabout. Link below with distance from Airport
Car park on site very accessible, someone will be on site to help manage car parking.
