This leaves me with a border about 3m x 10m. What should I do with it between now and then? Thanks 16th July 2017 at 3:06 pm #41585 charlesModerator It depends whether you have some compost to spread or any organic matter will be good as soil feed. Then it depends what weeds are growing, they need suitable mulching. 17th July 2017 at 3:47 pm #41594 zenpmdParticipant So in theory there is no harm in, say, adding 3 inches of compost, then another 3 of mulch (I have loads of stulch to get rid of) 19th July 2017 at 3:21 am #41611 charlesModerator That is a good plan, the strulch will make a nice cover on top and reduce weed growth even more. I hear it does not discourage slugs, you will find out if that is true next spring, best of luck. Author Posts Viewing 4 posts - 1 through 4 (of 4 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
