No dig workshop in Weinheim, 15th September

This day is to learn about no dig growing from Charles, then in the afternoon to see Felix’s no dig market garden. The event is for beginner (market) gardeneres as well as experienced gardeners and farmers.

Growing No Dig means disturbing the soil as little as possible and feeding soil organisms from above. The result is soil full of life and fewer weeds.

09.00 – 12.30 pm

Introduction to no dig growing with Charles Dowding

12.30 – 13.00 pm

Vegetarian / vegan lunch made with our vegetables.

13.30 – 16.00 pm

See the no dig gardens of Solawi Weinheim with Felix Hofmann. He will explain how to start a larger no dig garden from scratch and what yields to expect. Solawi Weinheim e.V. is a Society and Community Supported Agriculture founded in 2018. We share all the vegetables and Fruits amongst our 55 Members throughout all seasons and feed more than 100 People that way.

– Propagation of vegetable seedlings

– Tools needed in our context

– Managing greenhouse summer- and wintercrops

– Organising the workload and growing season
