Course in no dig gardening at Birr, Ireland April 13th
April 13 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 am
At a market Garden, The Growery in Birr. Run by Eiminh David Shortt.
Charles will explain the principles of no-dig growing and how it saves so much time! For beginners and experienced gardeners he will show how to create a productive garden and show methods which will increase the growth and health of your plants. Efficient compost creation is also part of this course.
Compost on the surface results in healthy growth, few weeds and good moisture retention. 2018 was an excellent year for me, despite or thanks to the drought – light levels were good! I explain where to buy compost as well as how to make it.
You learn about clearing weeds without removing them or disturbing soil.
How to propagate plants in order to keep your beds full all the time.
How to grow and pick salads, all year round.
“Many thanks for making the journey to Sheffield last week, and providing such a fantastic and stimulating talk for our audience. Everyone loved it!”

“Charles has become the guru of no dig gardening. He’s a really good grower, organic, has fabulous produce and we went down to Somerset to see how he does it…. I’m a convert now, I want to dig as little as possible.”

I came on a course last August, and it has given me so much direction and understanding in my gardening thinking. And your updates through the winter are an absolute tonic.
