Talk on no dig gardening, Frome Feb. 23rd 7.30pm

February 23 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

£5

Organised by Sustainable Frome.

I talk on the theory and practice of no dig gardening, a method I have used for thirty five years, to grow fine vegetables that are often earlier and easier than veg grown on dug or rotovated soil. Easier because there is less ground preparation, less mud sticking to the boots, and less weeding. Better drainage and moisture retention too.

The talk is fully illustrated from my quarter acre of intensive vegetable beds at Homeacres in Somerset. From this area I crop over £20,000 worth annually, of salad and vegetables sold to local shops and restaurants.

I bring along all of my eight books for sale, including the new vegetable garden diary which has advice for every week of the year.

Seasonal advice underpins all my talks and teaching, because it gives more chance of success, and I have formulated precise dates for doing many jobs, over a long time of growing.

Ticket price includes tea/coffee after the talk. It’s going to be a great evening, the independent way of gardening in independent Frome!
