 COPPER TOOLS

These are my favourites, easy to use and maintain, but they are expensive, see www.implementations.co.uk.
Since copper does not rust, they should last a long time unless used too roughly. A friend sent me this story of the spade she bought:

"I gave my husband an Implementations spade, but this beautiful thing with its glorious gold blade and elegant tapering wood handle has never been used!  It is propped against the wall by the door out into the garden and so is always noticed by guests.  James takes great delight in showing it off, waving it around so that we're dazzled by the beams radiating from the blade, telling people that they can only hold it if they've got clean hands.  In short, it is the ultimate No Dig Spade."
